12 February 2004 - Trial Virus Protection Software is available

As a member of Australia's Internet Industry Association (IIA), GlobalCenter is pleased to endorse the mission of the IIA in assisting Internet Users in the ever increasing problem of viruses which threaten all internet users.

In statistics revealed recently by the IIA, it is apparent that up to one in four Australians have no current antivirus protection installed, with many having none at all.

The IIA has specifically set up a National AntiVirus Initiative and created a webpage http://www.iia.net.au/novirus/ where internet users can access trial versions of virus detection software and learn more about the alternatives available.

We encourage all clients to ensure their virus detection software is kept up to date to minimise the risk of exposure to this problem. As a part of our support role to clients, we have the resources available to support you and offer guidance should you encounter virus problems.

We support the great work conducted by the entire team at the IIA and commend them for their actions in this matter. Information pertaining to membership can also be obtained from the IIA website for those interested.
