16 October 2003 - Network Monitoring Expands

Expanding on our existing base of monitoring solutions has been a priority to GlobalCenter with the constant increase in virus and worm activity of late.

We are pleased to announce that GlobalCenter can now offer a network threshold monitoring service. This service monitors the level of our clients internet traffic every minute, and compares it to a pre-defined threshold level. If the traffic exceeds the pre-defined level an alert is raised and our experienced Network Operations Centre (NOC) technicians will escalate to your contacts, or alternatively at your direction, troubleshoot the increase in traffic directly.

This service provides additional piece of mind that your infrastructure is secure. A significant increase in traffic, which may be caused by a worm or some other un-wanted means, can now be detected immediately, and appropriate action taken to ensure the stability of your infrastructure located at GlobalCenter is not un-duly affected.

This service comes at a small monthly fee, however this can be insignificant to the cost of unauthorized virus or worm activity.
